Nun sagt man: eine natürliche Zahl sei n. Dann ist die darauf folgende natürliche Zahl n+1 und die darauf folgende dann n+2.

Dann summiert man diese drei Zahlen:

n + (n+1) + (n+2)

und pflückt das ganze ein bisschen auseinander:

n + n + n + 1 + 2

und fasst als nächstes zusammen:

3 n + 3

dann klammert man die 3 aus:

3 (n+1)

und hat damit bewiesen, dass die Summe dreier aufeinanderfolgender Zahlen durch 3 teilbar ist, weil 3 (n+1) : 3 nämlich (n+1) ist und damit unserer Definition oben zufolge eine natürliche Zahl.
